On the Journey - November 2021

Hello there!

I've been abnormally silent from posting any reviews or book thoughts as of late and wanted to give an update as to what I've been reading and what book reviews are to come:

Book I'm most excited about: Empire of Silence

Thoughts so far: A fantastic read as of the almost 50% mark. It's a long read at some 700+ pages, but it's been so good so far I can hardly put it down. It has emotional impact, epically poetic prose, and has a first rate main character that is fantastic to read about. Think this may be a 5 Star book which I'm always open to.

Other books I'm reading: Pawn of Prophecy and The Stones of Aer

Thoughts so far: I'm a big fan of short fantasy reads because they're harder to find and I like how a complete story can be told in less than 500 pages. This is a short and simple fantasy story that I've heard is very cozy and doesn't take a lot to get in to. I'm excited to see what that means and how well a cozy read can turn out.

Thoughts so far: This is the third of Emmet Moss's The Shattering of Kingdoms books and boy is it bloated and lengthy. It's bloated to the brim with characters to keep track of and long to make sure they all have stories worth telling. Much like King's Guard before it, I'm struggling to get through, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.

Books to be read and reviews to come in 2022:

That's all for now! Thanks for reading.
